NH TREATMENT CENTER FOR HEALING & INJURY PREVENTION
Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) is used to break the cycle of pain that may begin with injury, illness, stress or other factors. NMT locates pain-causing areas through postural analysis, muscle testing and trigger point detection techniques. Muscles and connective tissues with poor blood circulation can house 'trigger points' that pass pain onto other areas of the body.
NMT focuses on increasing blood flow to flush waste from muscular tissue. Successful NMT depends upon the practitioner's understanding of the anatomy of the body and ability to work beneath superficial layers of the skin. The ultimate goal of NMT is to rid the muscle of trigger points and adhesions gluing other muscle/connective tissue.
This allows the muscle to return to its intended length, and this, in turn, takes stress off of the nervous system and other areas of the body. Lengthening, stretching, and pressure techniques to muscles & trigger points eliminate waste and release pain that is stored within the muscle.
Neuromuscular Therapy can alleviate chronic, severe, or minor muscular pain. It is also useful for injury rehabilitation and injury prevention.
Neuromuscular Therapy can be used to effectively treat many different conditions, including:
- Neck/Back/Shoulder Discomfort
- General Muscular Aches and Pains
- Muscle Strain
- Tennis Elbow
- Golfer's Elbow
- Patellar Tendonitis
- Runner's Knee
- Rotator Cuff Tendonitis
- Circulatory Problems
- Reduced Flexibility
- TMJ Syndrome
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) is a system of soft tissue manipulation that balances the nervous and musculoskeletal systems.
Myofascial Release is a highly interactive stretching technique of the fascia and muscles of the body.
Structural Integration is designed to restore the body to its natural state of alignment. It relieves chronic pain in the body and helps in recovery after surgical procedures and prevents sports-related injuries.
Visceral Manipulation involves the release of tension in the ligaments of the organs in the body. It is a gentle, but relatively deep tissue therapy with an emphasis on making sure that the organs move and glide freely. Visceral manipulation is extremely relaxing.
